The Admiral’s Cove Yacht Club (ACYC) is one of the jewels in the crown of the Club at Admiral’s Cove. Our waterways and beautiful marina are what set us apart from most other clubs in Florida. The Yacht Club is a thriving organization with many events planned through the active months of November to June. Dinner-dances, day cruises and long cruises, and our fabulous "Docktail Parties", are just some of the exciting events set up each year by a very active Bridge of Officers.

Started in 1990, a group of early residents with a common interest in boating, came together and, with the Developer's approval, formed the "Admiral’s Cove Yacht Club" as an incorporated, not-for-profit organization. The express goal of the fledgling club was, and still is, to promote boating and social events, safety and education, rendezvous and camaraderie. In the early days, the Yacht Club was largely the social arm of The Club at Admirals Cove, swelling to over 450 members. But as the property was built out, first the east side and then the Golf Village, social committees and activities increased dramatically.
Now in its eighteenth year, ACYC enjoys a steady number of approximately 300 members. Registered in the YCOA (Yachting Clubs of America), members can enjoy the exclusive facilities of over six hundred yacht clubs throughout the United States, including Alaska, Hawaii and the Virgin Islands. All equity members and marina residents are welcome to become yacht club members. The ownership of a boat is not required.
Formal Socials and Dinner Dances
ACYC has three major formal events during the yachting season. The third week in November is traditionally the Commissioning of the Fleet, our “Season Opener" In late January, the Commodore's Ball is held, usually a Black Tie affair. Then in late April, the Change of Watch is held which celebrates the new Commodore and Bridge of Officers.

Day Cruises
Usually at least one day trip every month, members travel an hour or so on the Intracoastal Waterway, to a waterfront restaurant for lunch. There are always prizes, lots of good food and laughs! Members without boats of their own are guests aboard other members' boats and can also travel by car.
Long Cruises
There are two long trips, plus a June trip, each year. We have traveled as far North as St. Augustine, as far South as Key West, across the state via Lake Okeechobee to Sanibel and Captiva, and East into the Atlantic to the Bahamas. There are stops along the way, with planned activities every day including "Docktail" parties, brunches, fine dining and events at the venues.
Docktail Parties
On the first Monday of each month, we hold our Docktail Parties from November through April. It is for Members Only. It is a casual, complimentary cocktail and hors d'oeuvres evening held around the Clubhouse pool and marina facility or at one of our members home’s. We typically have music, sometimes supplied by our very own "Groupers". The members in this group are almost all Yacht Club members who played professionally. These evenings draw large, enthusiastic crowds!

Educational Seminars
ACYC sponsors several educational seminars through out the yachting season. These seminars range from bringing in manufacturers to review the latest in navigational technologies to having fishing seminars held by our own panel of Admiral’s Cove experts.
With 85% of the homes on the East Side on navigable water, and a world-class marina with five-star amenities, Admirals Cove Yacht Club enjoys the best of all worlds. But it's the camaraderie of its members that makes it "the jewel in the crown"!
