The Members’ Tennis Committee and the Tennis Professionals establish a social and tournament schedule each season. The goal is to organize events that include all levels of play and experience, so that each event is open to the entire community. Tennis Committee Members sponsor each event to maximize attendance and assist new residents to join in.
Social events are all mixed play, featuring a competitive format combined with a fun setting. Typically, each event has a theme, with awards for play and participation. There are normally 12 social events each year, providing new Members the opportunity to meet other players.
Tournament events are also designed for all levels of players, emphasizing camaraderie, strategy, and knowledge of the game in a friendly, competitive environment. Typically, tournaments are established for Member-Guest events (for both women and men), mixed events for Members, and separate events for the women and men. There are normally six tournaments each season.
